Sierra was born in Lakeland, FL and raised in quaint Polk City, FL. From a young age, Sierra knew she wanted to help people when she got older. When she began attending the University of South Florida, she was exposed to many ways in which she could serve others. After evaluating her options, Sierra decided to study Public Health and Behavioral Healthcare. Sierra ultimately earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health and Behavioral Healthcare in 2018.
As a student, Sierra was involved in undergraduate research focusing on prenatal substance use in Hillsborough County. Through this research, Sierra gained valuable experience in working with vulnerable individuals, that she believes will aid her in any social service setting. In the summer of 2018, Sierra became an intern for Abe Brown Ministries. Upon graduation, Sierra was thrilled to begin her professional career as an Intake Specialist for Ready4Work–Hillsborough, fulfilling her goal of helping others.
